About

Hello!
I'm Elaine
I'm a C-Suite Executive, Board Director and advocate for purpose-led, financially sustainable and outcome focused businesses that positively impact people and the planet.

My experiences across various industries in healthcare, consumer goods, supply chain, aquaculture, and food-tech, along with board roles at the UN and WWF, give me deep insights into moving beyond shareholder to stakeholder capitalism. I strongly believe in harnessing individual actions as a catalyst for global change.

I'm a Hong Kong-born Chinese American with more than 25 years of corporate experience in Asia. I am based in Singapore with my husband, three children and a puppy.

As an immigrant, I benefited from many opportunities as an immigrant This led to my core belief to ‘pay it forward’ by creating opportunities for those with a lesser voice. I invested tremendous time and effort into many volunteering initiatives. Yet one day, I realized I needed to go even further.

My wake-up call came when I was working in the apparel sector. In 2013, Rana Plaza, a garment factory in Bangladesh, collapsed, killing 1,100 workers. It was a defining moment for the industry: Would we just walk away or would we act responsibly? I witnessed the power of companies when they chose to act responsibly, and the positive impact these actions could bring.

This combination of my corporate and NGO experience has shaped me into becoming the Purpose-Driven Leader that I am today. I am committed to enabling businesses to have a positive impact on society. If we can measure and define purpose in a meaningful way, then we can activate change and act. Purpose becomes real if it makes or breaks your decision.

Please join me in being part of this conversation for purposeful change.
